Chandler's Ford

Affluent residential suburb with its own train station, Waitrose, Fryern Arcade shops, and excellent schools.

Chandler's Ford is a large residential suburb in the north-west of Eastleigh Borough, generally regarded as the most affluent part of the borough. It has its own train station with regular services to Southampton and Winchester.

The area has a strong local shopping offer centred on Fryern Arcade on Bournemouth Road, which includes a Waitrose, independent boutiques, and a mix of cafes and restaurants. The area also has a Chandler's Ford Industrial Estate and business park that is a significant employment hub.

Property in Chandler's Ford commands a premium compared to the rest of Eastleigh Borough. Semi-detached homes typically sell for £350,000–£450,000, and larger detached properties frequently exceed £600,000.

Good schools, including several Ofsted Outstanding primaries and accessible secondary schools, make Chandler's Ford particularly popular with families. The area has good road links via the M3 motorway at junctions 12 and 13.

Local green spaces include Duck Island and the walks around Lake Road, and there are easy connections to the wider Hampshire countryside.
