Eastleigh town centre has plenty of car parking — both council-run off-street car parks and on-street pay-and-display spaces managed by Hampshire County Council. Most shoppers and workers use the Swan Centre car parks or Mitchell Road multi-storey.

How to apply: Online only, via MiPermit — no paper permits available

What you need: Your name, address, email or mobile, your latest council tax bill, plus one of: V5C registration document, insurance schedule, hire agreement, or employer letter, and valid vehicle tax

Eligibility: Not every property qualifies — some streets are capped. Check your postcode on MiPermit to see if you are eligible

Refunds: No refunds if you cancel

Mitchell Road: Covers 2 vehicles per permit (only one in use at a time), valid on the days shown on the permit

Hedge End Station: Single vehicle, Mon–Fri only, purchased via RingGo

Blue Badge Holders

On-street permit: If you display a valid Blue Badge, you do NOT need a resident parking permit — you can park in any resident parking zone with no time restriction

Blue Badge application: Via Hampshire County Council. Apply up to 16 weeks before expiry (processing typically takes around 16 weeks). Apply online at hants.gov.uk

In off-street car parks: Blue Badge holders still have to pay standard tariffs in the Swan Centre and Mitchell Road car parks — the concession applies to on-street residents parking only, not these off-street council parks
