AI Consultants for Eastleigh Businesses: What One Does and How to Choose

The short answer

An AI consultant looks at how a business runs, finds the repetitive computer work that software could do, and either advises on it or sets it up. For a small business the useful kind is the one who installs it and makes it work, not the one who hands over a report.

Dean Keating does this for businesses in Eastleigh and across Hampshire. He is based in Horndean, Hampshire, and works remotely. He is also the publisher of this guide. The first call is free. Call Dean or book the free AI call.

Two kinds of AI help

A lot of what is written about AI is aimed at large companies: research, strategy reports and product development. Most of it is not aimed at a ten-person firm in Eastleigh.

What a local service business usually needs is plainer: enquiries answered quickly, quotes sent and chased, invoices raised, the weekly numbers pulled together. That is AI automation, and it is the work this guide is about.

What an AI consultant does for a small business

Finds the work worth automating. Enquiries, quotes, bookings, invoices, chasing payments, reports, copying details from one system to another.

Sets up AI agents to do it. An agent logs into the tools you already use and does the job from start to finish, rather than waiting to be asked a question.

Agrees what still needs a person. Some steps should be approved by you. A sensible setup makes that clear.

Shows you how to run it. You should finish knowing what the system does and how to change it.

Advice or installation?

Some consultants run workshops and write a strategy. Others build. Ask which you are paying for. Dean Keating's website describes his service as installed for you, not handed over: he builds the agents, plugs them into your systems, then trains your team and supports it.

Questions to ask any AI consultant

What have you built for your own business? Which of my jobs would you not automate, and why? Who looks after it once it is running? What do I own if I stop? Will I see every message the system sends? Be wary of anyone who promises staff savings before they have looked at how you work.

Does it matter that he is not in Eastleigh?

For this kind of work, usually not. The agents are installed inside your email, diary, CRM and accounts software, which is done remotely whoever you use. His website says the build and install are done remotely anywhere in the UK, and that in Hampshire or nearby he can come to you in person. Eastleigh is in Hampshire, so if you want someone in the room, say so on the first call, and look at Eastleigh-based providers too.

What it costs

There is no published price list. The cost depends on what is being automated and is given after the first call. That call is free, and his website says you leave with a plan you can use with or without him.
